Prologue: The Excavation Site

You wake in chains with no memory. This opening sequence teaches core combat and movement.

Gaoled Awakening Follow the path, defeat the Cyclops, escape the site. This establishes basic combat with your main pawn.

Tale’s Beginning After escaping, meet your main pawn properly. Learn pawn commands and basic strategy.

The prologue takes approximately 30 minutes. Take time to learn the controls — they will matter for the entire game.

Chapter 1: Vernworth

In Dragon’s Wake Rest at the inn in Borderwatch Outpost. Travel toward Vernworth with Captain Brant. This introduces the world’s scale.

One-Eyed Interloper Follow Gregor and defeat the Bandit. Learn about the nearby settlement.

Seat of the Sovran Enter Vernworth, meet the Sovran, and begin your role in the kingdom’s politics.

Before leaving Vernworth for Battahl, complete:

Dulled Steel, Cold Forge — Visit the smithy.

Chapter 4: Battahl Conflict

Tensions on the Highroad Resolve tensions between nations.

Chapter 5: The Volcanic Islands

Agamen is the most dangerous region in the game.
