The northern cast, your Arisen, and the pawn who follows you into Norgan.

Characters Hub

Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen, launching October 9, 2026, hangs its new story on three figures: a mysterious hunter named Eir, a wyrm called the Fallen Dragon whose chest has no heart, and the Arisen you already built — plus the Main Pawn who shares that creator. This hub is the character map for those faces. It is not a multiplayer roster and it is not a tier list of units you unlock in a gacha. The expansion is single-player. Pawns are AI companions.

Capcom’s official site groups the tale under Forsaken Dominion, the snowy far north of Norgan. Director Kento Kinoshita has described the job in one sentence: cut a path through new foes, gather relics, and follow the woman who is already chasing the dragon that should not still move. Producer Naoto Oyama has been equally blunt that this is extra story and systems for the existing campaign, not a sequel with a new protagonist.

Pages in this hub

  • Eir — the pursuer you are asked to join in Norgan, and the questions Capcom is willing to print before launch.
  • Fallen Dragon — the heartless wyrm at the center of the northern tale, and why the usual “stab the glowing chest” script may not apply.
  • Arisen and Main Pawn — character creator additions (hairstyles and tattoos), the Norgan Fashion Set that lands in inn storage, and how your pawn still travels the Rift while you play alone.

Read them in that order if you want story first. Read the Arisen page first if you are about to reopen the creator before October 9.

What we actually know (and will not invent)

Official materials and the June 2026 showcase give a short list of facts:

  • The new region is Norgan, also labeled the Forsaken Dominion, a long-abandoned north.
  • Eir is the named human lead beside you. She is already pursuing the Fallen Dragon when you arrive.
  • The Fallen Dragon has a hollow space where a heart should be, and it still walks. Kinoshita called that hollow the “heart” of the tale.
  • You remain the Arisen from the 2024 campaign, or a new Arisen if you start fresh. There is no replacement hero.
  • New hairstyles and tattoos apply to Arisen and pawn creator options. They are a listed pillar of the expansion, not a patch note buried in cosmetics.

We do not have a full quest script, romance flags, or a confirmed kill method for a dragon without a heart. This wiki will not write those as if they were patched in. For the land those characters stand on, use the Norgan guide. For the relics Eir’s hunt sits on top of, use the relics loop. For how your pawn fights while you stare at a wyrm, use pawns and the party compositions page.

Why a characters hub exists on a vocation game

Dragon’s Dogma sells classes, but Dark Arisen’s pitch is a specific northern mystery. Players searching “who is Eir” or “Fallen Dragon no heart” are not looking for a Magick Archer rotation. They want the cast. Putting that cast next to creator notes also stops a common mix-up: the Norgan Fashion Set (Northern Attire) is a pre-order / early-adopter cosmetic that appears in inn item storage at launch. It is not a new vocation, and it is not Eir’s armor as a playable class.

The other mix-up is 2013. The original Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen had Bitterblack Isle, Daimon, and a different pawn economy. This 2026 expansion is not that dungeon with snow painted on. Eir is not a renamed older NPC. The Fallen Dragon is not Grigori with a subtitle. If a paragraph on the internet treats them as the same file, close it.

How to use these pages with the rest of the wiki

Story length, for context: Kinoshita’s team has pointed at 15–20 hours of northern campaign, twelve Lost Rites dungeons on the old map, and 25-plus hours if you do the lot. The characters in this hub have to carry that much plot without a new vocation to hide behind. That is why we gave them their own pages instead of a single lore dump under Guides.

When the expansion launches, these entries will grow with quest names, voice-actor confirmations, and mechanical notes (resistances, phases, whether the hollow chest is even targetable). Until October 9 they stay inside what Capcom has shown: a woman, a heartless dragon, and the Arisen who has to decide what that emptiness means.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers before the October 9, 2026 launch.

Is Eir a playable vocation or a pawn I can hire?

Capcom has presented Eir as a story character you join in Norgan, not as an eleventh vocation. Pawns remain the AI companions you create and hire. Do not expect to set Eir as a Main Pawn.

Do I play a new hero in Dark Arisen?

No. You continue as the Arisen (an existing save or a new one). The expansion adds northern story, Lost Rites, relics, and creator options — not a replacement protagonist.

Is the Fallen Dragon the same dragon from the 2024 ending?

Official materials treat the Fallen Dragon as a distinct, heartless wyrm at the center of the Norgan tale. Do not assume it is a simple reskin of the base-game dragon until the shipped quest says so.

Are these character pages spoilers for October 9?

They stick to trailer, showcase, and interview facts: names, the hollow chest, and the hunt in Norgan. They do not invent quest outcomes, deaths, or romance routes.

Where should I go after this hub?

Read Eir, then the Fallen Dragon, then the Arisen creator page. For the land they occupy, open the Norgan and relics guides. For how you fight beside them, open vocation ranks and party comps.
