Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen PC System Requirements
The 2024 Steam sheet still stands until Capcom publishes a Dark Arisen revision.
Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen on PC uses the same RE Engine build as the March 2024 campaign. Capcom has not published a replacement GPU list for the October 9, 2026 expansion. Producer Naoto Oyama said the team would revise minimum and recommended requirements around the expansion and asked players to watch official notes. Until that Steam text actually changes, the numbers below are the official sheet. This wiki will not invent an RTX 4070 line to look current.
The expansion is still upcoming. Meeting these specs lets you play the 2024 map and, on October 9, load Norgan. It does not mean you can enter the snow today.
Official minimum (1080p / 30 FPS estimate)
- OS: Windows 10 64-bit or Windows 11 64-bit
- CPU: Intel Core i5-10600 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600
- RAM: 16 GB
- GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 or AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT with 8 GB VRAM
- DirectX: 12
- Network: broadband (the game phones home for pawns, DLC, and Capcom accounts)
- Notes: Capcom estimates 1080p / 30 FPS. Framerate can drop in dense towns and large monster fights. Integrated graphics and devices that share VRAM with system RAM are not guaranteed. Laptop GPUs that match the name but not the desktop TGP often miss the estimate.
Official recommended
- OS: Windows 10 64-bit or Windows 11 64-bit
- CPU: Intel Core i7-10700 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600X
- RAM: 16 GB
- GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 or AMD Radeon RX 6700
- DirectX: 12
- Notes: Capcom’s store copy has described this band as a 2160i / 30 FPS class estimate, not a locked 4K / 60 promise. Treat “recommended” as a comfort floor for crowded Vernworth nights, not as a ray-tracing preset.
Ray tracing
Ray tracing is a separate bar: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti or AMD Radeon RX 6800. Xbox Series S does not offer the feature at all; that console note belongs on platforms, but PC buyers keep mixing it into the GPU question. If you are chasing RT on a 2060 Super, you are below Capcom’s published RT floor.
What Dark Arisen actually changes on PC
The paid expansion adds a snowy region, twelve Lost Rites doors, and a relic UI. It does not add a new renderer. The late-August title update already shipped a performance pass, extra save slots, and six weapon skills — those are in the base client. If your PC struggled in 2024, Norgan’s blizzards and extra particle work will not magically run better unless that August patch already helped you. Re-test Vermund after the patch before you pre-order the DLC.
Oyama also mentioned targeting 60 FPS in Performance Mode on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. That is a console statement. It is not a PC “guaranteed 60” line. On Steam you still pick quality versus frame rate yourself, and Denuvo plus a five-PC-per-day activation limit still apply to the 2024 executable.
Storage, display, and input
Capcom’s public sheet has been thin on exact SSD gigabytes. Budget a large NVMe install; the 2024 campaign was already a heavy RE Engine title, and Dark Arisen adds a region plus dungeon interiors. Ultra-wide is supported on Steam. Mouse and keyboard work; Capcom still recommends a controller. DualShock and DualSense over USB are listed. Motion controls for reticles need a compatible pad.
If you care about HDR, Steam lists HDR as available. It is not a minimum-spec item. Turn it off first when you are hunting a stutter.
How to use this page before October 9
- Check VRAM, not just the GPU name. The minimum card needs 8 GB. A 6 GB 1660 is not “close enough.”
- Confirm 16 GB of system RAM. Pawn AI, city density, and snow overlay stack on top of the 2024 world.
- After the August patch, walk from Vernworth to a griffin fight and watch the frametime graph. If that dips into the teens, Norgan’s woolly giant and flying pests will feel worse, not better.
- Refresh the Steam expansion page the week you click buy. If Capcom did revise the sheet, that store text wins over this wiki.
- Pair this checklist with pre-order so you buy DLC instead of a second campaign, and with getting started so you know level 40 is the Norgan recommendation — specs do not replace levels.
Laptops, handhelds, and Steam Deck
Capcom warns that mobile GPUs meeting the desktop name often fail because TGP drops. Steam Deck compatibility has been listed as problematic for the 2024 build; do not assume Dark Arisen “fixes Deck.” Handheld PCs that can hold 30 FPS in open fields may still hitch in cities. This page will not certify a ROG Ally preset that Capcom has not published.
What this is not
This is not a live benchmark table. It is not a promise that Lost Rites bosses will hold 60 FPS on a 1070. It is not a ray-tracing guide. It is the official 2024 sheet plus the one honest expansion note: Capcom may still change the numbers, and until they do, you should size your PC against the sheet that is actually printed on Steam.
For the SKU decision after you pass this test, go back to the tools hub or open platforms. For the combat you are sizing the GPU for, read how to play and the vocation overview.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers before the October 9, 2026 launch.
Did Capcom publish new PC specs for Dark Arisen?
Not as a replacement sheet at the time this page was written. Oyama said requirements would be revised around the expansion. Refresh Steam before you buy; do not treat fan lists as official.
Can a GTX 1070 run Norgan?
It is the official minimum GPU for 1080p / 30 with 8 GB VRAM. Capcom already warns of drops in heavy scenes. Test the August-patched base game first.
What do I need for ray tracing?
RTX 2080 Ti or RX 6800 on PC. Xbox Series S does not support the feature.
Does the expansion need more RAM?
The official sheet still lists 16 GB. Capcom has not posted a 32 GB requirement. That could change if the Steam page is revised.
